A lot has happened in six weeks! Jace is now six weeks old as of this Tuesday. He is doing great, we really like him around here...the boys are so good to him. Tyler and Brandon are good to hold him and keep him happy. Ethan is a great "binky" monitor and can keep him happy as well. He even got him to sleep a couple of days ago while on duty!
We had a bit of a crazy first week after we got out of the hospital. When Jace was one week old Brandon had an accident falling out of the back of Brian's truck. He was helping unload camping grear (Truck was parked in Grandma's driveway). He tripped on some gear and fell out onto asphalt onto his head. He got knocked pretty good. He was sick for about 24 hrs. vomiting and we had to take him to the ER about two hrs after it happened. We took him into the Redmond ER and after one CT scan of his head they saw some subdural bleeding. So the crazy thing is that when you hit your head that hard there is no evidence of it on the outside. That was why I waited to take him in to see if he would start the vomiting which he did.
The Neurologist in Bend wanted to watch over him for the night so he got to ride in an ambulance with his dad to Bend (just 20 minutes away). No lights or rush but an ambulance no less. There he stayed for two days. He felt much better the next day...about 24 hrs after it happened he stopped vomiting. He had another CT scan in Bend and nothing had changed which was a good thing. He is totally fine now and actually has been since that next day. I do have pictures as he was hooked to an IV and had the little hospital gown and all that. It was not a fun experience for any of us but we are feeling very blessed to have Brandon in one piece and he is the same old Brandon, funny and crazy.
The only other thing to report is that Ethan has learned how to ride his two wheeler! He wouldn't ride with "dumb training wheels" anymore so Brandon took off the training wheels and Tyler worked with him all day last monday and he got it by the end of the day. He is riding so great now that we can take him on bike rides and he is really excited. I am trying to get some good footage or just some pictures of him but he doesn't like me to do that so I need to figure that one out still so I can show you.
Jace is getting bigger, very smiley already. He is getting a little bit of chub on his chin and legs. My kids don't really seem to chub up much but he is growing unfortunately! I don't really like that part! He is just so fun and cute though. He really looks like all the other boys, a good mix I guess. He probably most resembles Tyler at this age but with hair. He is really the first baby of ours to have hair at birth.
We have been having fun swimming and doing some boating too like usual but the summer is slipping away fast!

Hangin with the patient after he started feeling better but they kept him one more night to be sure |

Brandon is the most eager to hold the baby though Tyler and Ethan are too. Tyler changes Jace often for me. |

This is his silent laguhing face...no sound comes out but it looks as if he is laughing but his smile just over takes his whole face! |
